Now Nike have confirmed that they will making a limited run of 1,500 pairs and will auction the lot on eBay, will all proceeds going towards the Michael J Fox Foundation, noted for helping to battle Parkinson's Disease which the actor is afflicted with.
"It hasn't gone unnoted by us that there is something special about that shoe and, of course, the movie," said Nike shoe designer Tinker Hatfield. Hatfield helped design the original shoe and worked on this reimagining.
According to TMZ, the first person who won a pair of the “Air Mag” shoes at auction shelled out $37000.
