2012 Cannes Film Festival winners list
Festival favourite Michael Haneke's new film 'Amour' (aka 'Love') has scooped the Palme d’Or top prize at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
An epic standing ovation followed the announcement as the 'White Ribbon' auteur took to the stage.

He took home the Grand Prize of the Jury for 'The Piano Teacher' and Best Director for 'Cache' (aka 'Hidden') so he was hardly ever an underdog.
