Arnold Schwarznegger and Sylvester Stallone reteam to raid 'The Tomb'
Veteran action stars Arnold Schwarznegger and Sylvester Stallone will star together in 'The Tomb', it has been confirmed, hot on the heels of their collaboration in Stallone's upcoming 'The Expendables' sequel.
Since leaving office as "the governator" of California, Schwarzenegger has been in high demand as actor while Stallone's 'Rambo' and 'Rocky' reboots have revitalised his once fading star. Both are in their mid-60s.
'The Tomb' will be directed by Mikael Hafstrom (best known for religious horror 'The Rite'). Producer Mark Canton ('300') released a statement that confirmed the casting.
He said: "I am thrilled to be making The Tomb with two film icons — Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is the perfect pairing for this high octane thriller."
Stallone will play Ray Breslin, an expert on the structural security of prisons who is forced to break out of one of his own creations.
Posting the above photo on his WhoSay account, Schwarzenegger said: "After all the action, stunts and physical abuse shooting The Expendables 2 and The Last Stand, it was time for a little tune up on my shoulder.
"Look who was coincidentally waiting in line behind me for his shoulder surgery.
"Now we're ready for another round of great times and action when we shoot The Tomb."
