Cruise dumps Cruz?
Tom Cruise has dumped his girlfriend Penelope Cruz after just nine-months - according to a British tabloid. The gorgeous couple, who met on the set of Vanilla Sky, have reportedly called off their alleged engagement after rows over Tom's friendship with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman. Stunning Spaniard Penelope, 27, has flown back to her home city Madrid, to be comforted by her parents. Friends say the pair's relationship hit rock bottom after Tom refused to take Penelope to the Oscars last month, where Nicole was up for the Best Actress gong. One of Penelope's pals says, 'Penelope's head in spinning. She doesn't know what is going on. Tom no longer wanted to marry her and he's suggested she'd be happier in New York. Tom doesn't want to break her heart, but the relationship isn't leading to marriage. He's got so many other priorities in his life right now.' Tom, 39, is busy learning martial arts for his new movie THE LAST SAMURAI and shares parenting duties of children with Nicole. Another friend says the partnership started to go downhill at Christmas, explaining, 'On Christmas Day in Sydney, Tom told Penelope he'd been spending half the day with Nicole and the kids. A livid Penelope told him that she's leave him if he went ahead with his plan. When he stood his ground, she took the first flight back to Los Angeles.'
