Mark Ruffalo reveals six picture contract with Marvel
As the 'Avengers Assemble' movie shattered box office records in dozens of countries, it comes as little surprise to learn that its cast members signed multiple picture deals with Marvel beforehand, but the length of the contracts may raise a few eyebrows - Mark Ruffalo is up for five more films.
Ruffalo, who plays Dr Bruce Banner/The Hulk in 'Avengers Assemble' revealed to Collider that he signed a six-picture deal with Marvel which is a huge commitment for the Oscar nominee.
However, having seen the final cut of 'Avengers Assemble' the 'Kids Are Alright' star stated that any concerns he had about the mammoth contract have been put to rest - he's eager to continue.
The news means that 'Ruffalo' will no doubt be tied to an 'Avengers' sequel (or two) as well as cameos in related franchise efforts such as 'Iron Man 3', 'Thor 2', 'Nick Fury' and 'Captain America 2'.
Better than that, there could well be another 'Hulk' standalone film on the way. Eric Bana and Edward Norton previously played the angry green man on film before Ruffalo took over the part for the long haul.
The record breaking 'Avengers Assemble' film is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
