Orlando Gloom over Billie Flick
After swashbuckling his way to a blockbuster with Johnny Depp and enjoying some swordplay with Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom is hardly jumping with anticipation at his next big screen outing - with snub-nosed failed poptart Billie Piper. The Kent-born hunk is riding the crest of a wave with his current high-seas hit Pirates of the Caribbean, and has another surefire winner in Troy to look forward to. In between he’s been brought down to earth with his role in The Calcium Kid, in which he trades in his sword for a milk float, and gets to roll in the hay with Chris Evans' 20-year-old mini missus. 'A mate asked me to do it and I couldn't say no,' is all the 26-year-old actor will say on the matter. In the no-budget British mockumentary, Orlando plays Jimmy, who supplements his daily milk round with boxing. In a bizarre and supposedly hilarious twist, the heartthrob ends up fighting the world champion in his hometown. Orlando adds: 'I rate every movie I do as a unique experience.” With Billie riding shotgun, Calcium Kid is bound to be the most unique experience the star will ever have – a box-office turkey.
